Charles Gary Lane of Albuquerque, NM, Randy Joe and Barbara Lane of Linden, TX., Robert Glenn Lane, Sr. of Linden, TX., Richard Wayne and Terri Lynne Lane of Jefferson, TX., along with daughters and spouses Manvel and Charlotte Jean Green of Linden and Mark and Ila Lynn Lane Meier of Linden, TX.; grandchildren, Brentley Joe Woods of Houston, TX., Manvel Scott Green of Lufkin, TX., Michael Brandon Green of Linden, TX., Kevin Lane Green of Conroe, TX., Randall Curtis Lane of Linden, TX., Devin Denise Lane Stroman of Atlanta, TX., Robert Glenn Lane, Jr. of Orange Grove, TX., Joshua Glenn Lane of Linden, TX., Dr. Kristopher Martin Lane of Edmonds, WA., Richard Samuel Lane of Longview, TX., Amy Elizabeth Lane Yowell of Owasso, OK., Wendi Jean Meier of Linden, TX. Chad Allen Meier of Linden, TX.; twenty eight great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Charles Curtis Lane, Jr.; parents Joseph Frederic and Flora Ellen Dorflinger, siblings Lucille Dorflinger Bain, Arthur Harry Dorflinger, Pauline Dorflinger Adams, Wallace Joseph Dorflinger, Searcy Ezekel Dorflinger, Helen Dorflinger Brian, Alline Dorflinger Mosley, Ward Brandon Dorflinger, and William Clifford Dorflinger, a daughter, Brenda June Lane of Ormond Beach, FL, and a grandson, Dusty Wayne Meier of Linden, TX.
Services will be 2:00 P.M., Thursday August 25, 2016 at Pine Crest Baptist Church with Bro. Bryan Baggett and Bro. Jackie Stanfield officiating. Burial to follow in the New Prospect Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Linden.
The family will receive friends for 6:00-8:00 P.M., Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
I took care of Miss Jean for quite some time when I worked for a local home health care agency. She was always a pleasure. She will be missed. May God wrap her family in his arms and provide strength and comfort.
I took care of Mrs Jean at Linden Heath care . She was always a sweetheart i loved her very dearly! I called her my Jelly Bean and I was her CiCi! She will truley missed and will forever hold a special place in my heart ! YaKeitha Green
Heaven gained a true angel. Mrs. Jean will be missed by many here on earth, but what joy she will bring to heaven. She always had a sweet smile and a kind word. In all the years I had the privilege to know her, she lived to serve her Lord and her family. May you all find peace in your memories.
