Funeral services for Emma Louise Howlett, 89, of Hughes Springs will be 2:00 P.M. Monday, November 15 at Reeder-Davis Chapel in Hughes Springs with Rev. Roy Howlett, Jr. and Bro. Daniel Bramlett officiating. Burial will follow at Hughes Springs Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home, Inc. Mrs. Howlett was born December 17, 1920 in Chilecothe, Texas and passed away Saturday, November 13 in a Linden hospital. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Hughes Springs where she was a Sunday School Teacher, a member of the choir and Womens Missionary Union and Young at Heart. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Rev.Roy Lester Howlett, Sr.; a sister Opal Sosbee; and two brothers Rev. J.W. Pippin, Jr. and Rev. Ben Pippin. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law Rev. Roy, Jr. and Beth Howlett of Hallsville; two daughters and sons-in-law Linda and Leonard Boney of Linden and Julia and Mark Shaddix of Hughes Springs; two brothers and sisters-in-law Wiley and Margaret Pippin of Hughes Springs and Nathaniel and Hazel Pippin of Greenville and a sister-in-law Ruby Pippin of Greenville; six grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; and many other loving relatives and friends.
