Flora Jane Adcock, 73, of Ore City, Texas passed away July 17, 2021 at home surrounded by her loving family.  Ms. Adcock was born September 16, 1947 in Gilmer, Texas to Ed James Minor and Erlean Copeland Minor. Flora was a faithful member of Cedar Springs Baptist Church in Ore City. 

She is survived by two sons, Michael Adcock and wife, Candice, Kevin Adcock all of Ore City, TX; daughter, Courtney Carpenter and husband, Vic of Daingerfield, TX; grandchildren, Jeffry Adcock and wife, Tiffany, Michael Adcock and wife, Brandi both of Ore City, TX, Nicholas Adcock and wife, Makinzie of Gilmer, TX, Ashley Adcock and husband, Jax of Hallsville, TX, Brayden Adcock of Daingerfield, TX, Nathan Morris of Tyler, TX, Bradley Organ, Gracie Garcia both of Ore City, TX and Tanner Organ of Denton, TX; great-grandchildren, Kensli Adcock, Michael Adcock, Hallie Adcock, Paisley Adcock, Saylor Adcock, Korbin and Asher Brown, Orin and Penelope Nichols; brothers, Ed Minor Jr. and wife, Debbie of Hughes Springs, TX, Roy Minor and wife, Rita of Atlas, OK, Grady Minor and wife, Glenda of Red Hill, TX, Donald Minor and wife, Janna of Ore City, TX and Arthur Minor of Ore City, TX, and one sister, Brenda Newlin of Gilmer, TX.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ed James and Erlean Minor and grandparents, Morris Minor, Emma Sue Minor, Nebraska Copeland and Mary Leola Copeland.

Services will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 21, 2021 in the chapel of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home with Shannan Leftwich officiating.  Burial to follow in the Smyrna Cemetery and under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Ore City.

There will be a time of visitation from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday evening at the funeral home.

  2. Sincere condolences to the Minor Family. Just found out about Jane, oh my gosh! Tried to contact Jane a few months back but could not find the current phone number. Jane was one in a million good woman and I will never forget her. I truly loved Jane and will not forget her ever….. Blessings to each and every Minor decendent. Remember, Jane is the best!
