LINDEN, TEXAS Funeral services for Corrie Frances Washington, 74, of Linden will be at 10:00 A.M., Monday, September 29, 2008, at the First Baptist Church of Linden with Bros. Charles Russell and Jackie Stanfield officiating. Burial will be in the Linden Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis-Schindler Funeral Home of Linden. Mrs. Washington died Friday, October 26, 2008 in a Texarkana hospital. Mrs. Washington was born January 20, 1934 in Kildare, Texas to Arthur and Gladys Melton Wright. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Linden where she retired after 35 years as church secretary. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Franklin Washington, Sr., her parents and one brother, Jim Wright. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Frank and Debra Washington of Linden; two daughters and sons-in-law, Gayle and Gary Stewart of Atlanta, and Sharron and Ricky Allen of Linden; a brother and sister-in-law,A.D. and Betty Wright of Queen City and a sister-in-law, Oreta Wright of Kildare; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

She was a wonderful mother & grandmother and truly a jewel to have reared a daughter like you. You are a very special friend of mine and always will be.
