Services for Frank Allen Beckett, 84, of Hughes Springs, will be 11:00 AM Monday, December 6, 2021 at Reeder-Davis Chapel in Hughes Springs. Burial to follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Hughes Springs. There will be a time of visitation starting at 10:00 AM Monday morning at the funeral home.
Frank Allen Beckett was born October 21, 1937 in Atlanta, Texas to Bro. S.A. Beckett and Maxine Hall Beckett. He passed away December 3, 2021. Frank was a deacon at Hughes Springs Church of Christ and retired from Lone Star Steel after 40 years as an electrician. He loved hunting, fishing, and gardening.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Tommy Beckett.
Frank is survived by his wife of 65 years, Mary Beth Jones Beckett; son, Randy Beckett and wife, Angie; daughter, Nita Beckett Wiese and husband Woody; grandchildren, Amy Gibson, Holly Jones and husband, Jeff, Cole Beckett and wife, Grecia, Maranda Wiese; eleven great-grandchildren; brothers, Don Beckett and wife, Libby, Norman Beckett and wife Penny; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to the Flat Creek Hunting Club at 3382 CR 4620, Mt. Pleasant, Texas 75455. Frank founded the hunting club over 40 years ago and it so enjoyed his times there. Also, the family encourages you to dress in the way Frank would enjoy, in your jeans and overalls.
Mary Beth and family, my heart breaks for each of you. God called a wonderful man, an angel home to be with Him. Mr. Frank will be there to greet us when we arrive.
