Freddie Jo Barrett, 80, of Daingerfield, Texas passed away December 8, 2020. Mrs. Barrett was born July 1, 1940 in Athens, Texas to Horton Brister and Hazel Aaron Brister.
She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Frank T. Barrett, Jr.; son, James Barrett of Mt. Pleasant, Texas; daughter, Julie Gallardo of Jefferson, Texas; four grandchildren, Joseph Staner, Melia Guzman, Mercedes Barrett, Shawn Barrett; three great-grandchildren, Isabella Guzman, Joe Guzman, Mia Guzman, and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Hazel Brister; father and step-mother, Horton and Dorothy Brister; brother, Larry Haltom and one nephew, Anthony Haltom.
Services will be 3:00 p.m., Sunday, December 13, 2020 in the chapel of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Hughes Springs with Tim Gibbs officiating. Burial to follow in the Bradfield Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Hughes Springs.
There will be a time of visitation from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Saturday evening at the funeral home.
