Gary Baugh
November 20, 1953 ~ September 20, 2021
Gary Baugh, 67, of Hughes Springs passed away September 20, 2021. Mr. Baugh was born November 20, 1953 in Naples, Texas to BT and Jewel Baugh. Gary was a member of Cross Roads Missionary Baptist Church of Hughes Springs where he served as treasurer and moderator for over 40 years. He taught Sunday School to all ages and served in all capacities there. He was a Master Jeweler and owner of The Golden Touch II before retiring in 2012 so that he and Norma could spend more time traveling. The two of them visited all 50 states and many foreign countries. As an avid fisherman he also enjoyed bow hunting and camping. His favorite place to spend his downtime was at Kelly Creek on Lake Wright Patman. Gary loved his children, grandkids, and his great-grandchildren more than life itself. They all affectionately called him "Pa" and he was blessed to have them all live nearby. He was a quiet person who always listened first before speaking. When he did speak people listened. He attended Paul H Pewitt School but had been a Mustang supporter for 40 plus years.
He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Norma Baugh; children, Kent and Alicia Baugh, Anesha and Josh Turner, Jennifer and J.R. Folsom; grandchildren, Ali Baugh, Andrea Deornellis, Macey Stewart, Gracelyn Turner, Payton Kelley, Texcee kelley, Brayden Turner, Cutter folsom, Colby Morgan, Dalton Deornellis; great-grandchildren, Palmer Deornellis and Drew Morgan; sister, Janeta and Deryl May; brother, Ernest and Barbara Baugh, and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.
He is preceded in death by his parents, BT and Jewel Baugh, and step-father, Wendell Hampton.
There will be a visitation from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at the funeral home for friends and family to view and sign the register book. The family has requested those attending the visitation to please wear mask.
A private family burial will take place.
A memorial service will be held at 5:00 p.m., Saturday, September 25, 2021 at their home. Please bring a lawn chair and wear comfortable clothes.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cross Roads Missionary Baptist Church Building Fund, 11608 Hwy 130, Hughes Springs, TX 75656.

Gary Baugh will be greatly missed. He and Norma travelled the world and took us along through their posts, pictures and videos. I enjoyed these so much and it was exciting to get to go with them even though I was sitting on my couch. They even explained the trips and adventures with comments and posts. I will never forget the thoughtfulness and love these 2 shared. I wish Gary could share his adventure now that he is in heaven because God has been preparing for him and now they are together and waiting on his Christian family and friends to join them.
I'm so sorry for your loss. Gary was such a kind soul.
Prayers for you all.
