Gary Parker Willeford, 82, born February 17, 1941 and passed away October 21, 2023. Gary married Linda McKee on June 17, 1966. They have lived a wonderful life together and because of their faith, know they will be reunited again. They know… the best is yet to come… this we have been promised!

Gary was preceded in death by his mother, Kathryn Willeford Callaway and her husband, Jack Callaway; his father, Lawson Avon Willeford; sister, Gale Avon Wesberry; sister-in-law, Christi Barnett; two nephews, Mike Wesberry and Mark Wesberry; and a niece, Marci Wesberry Robertson.

He is survived by his wife, Linda of 57 years; special companion, “Tex”; brother, Glen Willeford and wife, Joan of Hughes Springs; sister-in-law, Mary and husband, Bill Hodges of Elysian Fields; nieces and  nephews, Ty Willeford and wife Rachel, Sarah Willeford, Anna Willeford, Leah Willeford, Amy Lynn Bryan and husband DeWitt, Ty Bryan and wife, Brenna, Eli Bryan and wife, Michelle, Misty Wesberry, Casey Cameron, Brandon Nunez, Garrett Lee, Dakota Barnett, Carter Barnett, Braylen Barnett, Kelly Barnett, Kathryn Barnett, Kambri Barnett, McKensi Thomas, Madison Barnett, Dan, Kay, Emily, Kaleb, and Alex; as well as a host of church family and friends.

Services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 24, 2023 at Hughes Springs Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Roger Parker officiating. There will be a time of visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday and lasting until service time. Burial will follow at Hughes Springs Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Hughes Springs.

I will forever cherish the beautiful gifts he left behind and thank God for his presence in my life for although short it was mighty. God placed Mr. Willeford in my path and he forever changed not only my direction but that of my family and for that I am eternally grateful. How lucky we are that God shared this angel with the world.
