Mr. Newton was born December 18, 1930 in Holly Creek McCurtain County, OK and passed away Saturday January 2, 2009 in a Tyler Smith County Hospital.. He had worked as a Welder, was a member of First Baptist Church in Omaha and was a foster parent. His father was Louis Walter Newton who was born March 27, 1880 in Foreman, LR County, AR and died March 25, 1962 in Idabel, McCurtain County, OK; his mother was Nettie Lou Green who was born March 8, 1906 in Arkinda, Polk County, AR and died December 21, 1997 in Morris County; He was also preceded in death by his wife Theresa Marie Sellers Newton on May 29, 2002. He is survived by three sons Mike Newton and wife Jane of Simms, Steve Newton and wife Stacy of New Orleans, La, and William Newton of Arkansas; two daughters Shelia Golden and husband Kerry of Hughes Springs and Brianna and Erin Newton of Hughes Springs; two sisters Ruby Ledbetter and Bertha Mae Newsom of Idabel, OK; one brother Gene Newton of Mena, AR; 15 grandchildren Joshua Newton and wife Amber of New Boston, Jarrod and Jacob Newton of Simms, Stephen Newton and wife Amber of Omaha, Jennifer and Sara Newton of New Boston, Meagan, Lillie and Elizabeth Newton of New Boston, Khris, Britiney, Philip, Keith, James and David Golden all of Hughes Springs; six great grandchildren Ethan Dwiggins, Michael and Haley Newton all of New Boston, Kaylin and Kaleb Newton of Simms and Gabriella Gabby Newton of Omaha; and a special friend Dorothy Cobb of Naples.
