Services for David Glenn Rhyne, 78, of Linden will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 4, 2007 at Hughes Springs Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Larry Neeley and Rev. Hiram Melton officiating. Burial will follow at Linden Cemetery, Linden, TX under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home. Mr. Rhyne died Sunday, April 1, 2007 at a Longview nursing center. He was born August 16, 1928 in Linden, Texas. He retired from Day & Zimmerman, was a US Army Veteran of World War II, and a member of Hughes Springs Missionary Baptist Church and Hughes Springs Lion's Club. He was preceded in death by his parents, Perry and Winnie Rhyne; brother, Ralph Rhyne; and daughter Ima Jean Rhyne. He is survived by his wife, Bennie Lou Rhyne of Hughes Springs; two daughters, Sally R. Driggers of Hughes Springs and Glenda L. Wallace of Longview; three granddaughters, Cassie Driggers of Tyler, Misty Scaggs of Longview, and Jamie Cody of Hughes Springs; one great granddaughter, Madalyn Scaggs and one great grandson, Tyler Scaggs of Longview; and two nephews. Viewing and visitation will be Tuesday afternoon and evening at the funeral home and the family will receive friends after 6:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer's Alliance of Northeast Texas, 3613 S. Broadway, Ste. 401, Tyler, TX 75701.
