Mrs. Travillion was born March 19, 1955 in Irving, Texas to Joe Eldon and Joe Evelyn Black. Del was baptized along side her father as a young girl. She attended Seventh Day Adventist Church School in the Irving and Dallas area, before graduating from Nimitz High School. After graduation she did some modeling and worked as an apartment manager. She later moved to East Texas and decided she wanted no part of the city life. Del also worked several years at a tractor supply store and as a correctional officer. After she stopped working everyday, she became a collector of antiques, off the wall items, and junk. Del was constantly losing everything but found all the joy in the world in her children and grandchildren. She lived each day to the fullest with her vibrant personality.

She is preceded in death by her father, Joe Eldon Black; and brother, Roger Dale Black.

She is survived by husband, Jeff Johnson, daughter, Whitney Wrae Vallun and husband Bret; son, William Wiley McIntyre; mother, Jo Evelyn Black; grandchildren, Kaylin Joe McIntyre and Cloey Cockreham; brother, Delwyn Joe Black and wife, Sylvia; nieces, Lecia Zinna and husband Mike, April Waltman, Heather Black, Vanessa Hood and husband, Preston; great-niece and nephew, Nina and Zachary Zinna; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.

Guestbook

  1. Our thoughts and prayers are with Jo Black, Del’s Mother, and the family of Del Travillion. Marie Clark and Sharon & John Petchkurow

  2. We had the privilege to call Del our friend and we will miss her keen sense of humor as well as her great smile and personality.

  3. My condolences to family and friends: The scriptures at Revelation 21:3-5 show us that the blessings of a life without tears, death, and pain will be a reality. Almighty God then says: ‘Look! I am making all things new.’ He then guarantees his promise: ‘These words are faithful and true.’ We can look forward to an Earth without wickedness and death. (Psalms 37:10-11) This hope can comfort and strengthen us until we see our loved one again.
