Harry D. Berry

harry berry

Our brother, father, and friend went home to be with our Lord on Thursday June 26th, 2025. Harry was born in Snyder, Tx. on July 7th, 1948, to Harry Quinton Berry and Birdie Florene James. He is survived by his brother Jackie Berry of Post, TX, his son, Dennis Roy Berry and wife of Oklahoma, 8 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and many many friends. He joins his parents, a daughter, many aunts, uncles, and cousins who preceded him.

Harry was known to most as Dennis growing up, but in later years began to go by Harry. He was married to Mary Shryl Griffin in July 1972, they had 2 children together, Dennis Roy, and Sonya Yvette. Harry and Mary later divorced and Harry moved to Houston from Oklahoma. Harry worked for Brown & Root for a number of years until an accident in which he lost a part of his thumb.

Harry always had a big heart and love for just about anyone he met. There were times when his kindness was taken advantage of, but Harry usually just shrugged it off and never made a big deal about it. I never heard anyone have a negative thing to say about him. He always had a smile and a hug for just about everyone. He will sorely be missed by those who truly loved him, but they also realize that he has gone home to be with his Lord and Savior, and we can all rejoice for him as he dances on the streets of gold in heaven.

  1. Candle 3Heaven gained a special gem of a man. We will miss him. Thrilled he is now absolutely totally free from bounds that held him here on earth. 💕

  2. I will sorely miss you my brother but I know that you are now at peace and in a much more wonderful place. It was a pleasure being your brother for all of these years even in those times when we didn’t see eye to eye but for the most part that was never the case. I know the world will now be minus one great person because I admired you for all of the things that you endured during your 76 years on this Earth.

  3. I thot of you on our car ride today. U always enjoyed talking about the traffic, especially 18wheelers and jeeps. I’ll miss u when I go to IHOP and order ur favorite strawberry and banana pancakes with extra strawberries. I’ll think of u on days like this when the sky is blue with fluffy clouds that look like animals. U made all the simple things better. I know that now u are healed and have eternity to be happy. I’ll see u again, when Jesus calls.

    • Candle 5I didn’t have the pleasure of knowing you, but, if you are anything like your brother Jack, then your family and friends were blessed whenever you were with them.

  4. Candle 5May you find eternal rest. Know that you are loved and will be missed. Fraternally Glen Anders.

  5. Candle 5I love you grandpa! You are greatly missed and loved! ❤️❤️🙏🏼🙏🏼May you rest in peace!

  6. Candle 8This man is the reason I have a strange addiction to pens, and love building things with my hands. Countless hours as a young lad bulding model cars and airplanes. And if I got a splinter in my hand, watch out. I know you did your best for us. RIP, dad. Save a spot for me at God’s table.

    • Your dad was my cousin. He had the sweetest heart thru the last 15years that he’s been with us in NETEX. He always said “I just do the best I can”. We loved him and we will think of him often.
