It's Wednesday and I somehow missed the news about H.L. This man was a Linden icon through and through. All of us who grew up in Linden in the '50s and '60s owe him and Jewel our gratitude for providing us a place to go, recreate, visit with friends and have an occasional fist fight … Foster's Skating Rink … I nearly broke my thumb on the side of Gerald Megg's head out there. I believe that H.L. will get special perks in Heaven for the joy and adventure he provided us … as I now think back I can clearly hear Jewel's voice when the girl's tag is over … "All Skate, Everybody Skate!" Rest in peace, H.L. … you done good. Thanks, Richard Bowden
Ronnie and Lajuan, I am so sorry to learn of the passing of your father. You were very blessed to have him with you for so long. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
