Funeral services for Hobert Irvin, 68, of Hughes Springs will be 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, January 29, 2008 at Reeder-Davis Chapel in Hughes Springs with Bro. Dan McGuire officiating. Burial will follow at Bradfield Chapel Cemetery in Daingerfield under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home, Inc. Mr. Irvin died January 27 in his home. He was born December 6, 1939 in Hughes Springs. Mr. Irvin was formerly employed at Lone Star Steel as a heavy equipment operator. He served in the United States Army and was a member of Cross Roads Missionary Baptist in Hughes Springs. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Irvin of Hughes Springs; one son, Harlan Irvin of Hughes Springs; one daughter and son-in-law Teresa and James Humes of Carrollton; on brother, John Charles Irvin of Keller; three grandchildren, Hunter Nelson Irvin of Hughes Springs, Greg Humes and Kelly Humes both of Carrolton; one great grandchild, Kylee Humes of Carrolton. Family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday, January 28 from 6:00-8:00 P.M.
