Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. I cherish the visits I had with Uncle Oneal at the nursing home. He always met me with a smile. We would talk about hunting, fishing and working at power plants. He told me stories of his times during WWII and I was amazed at his stories of being a frogman. Because his missions were very secret, he was told to never speak of what he did. He was a man of his word and never told anyone about his missions until our trip to Temple for his nephew and my cousins funeral. I had a hard time keeping my jaw off the flooor while he told me. He started off saying, "I'm going to tell you things that I have never told anyone else". I will mis his stories and our visits!

  2. Uncle O'Neal I will surely miss you and your smile and kindness. You favored Mama Biddy more than any of the rest. Mother loved you dearly. You will be in our hearts forever. I know everyone in heaven is celebrating but we sure miss you. Love you so much.

  3. May the love of family and friends give you strength as the "hearer of prayer" embraces your hearts. Lean on one another as the days ahead become difficult to bear alone. Share your memories they will be a source of comfort that can help your family cope and grant them peace.

  4. I will always remember camping out as a child at Malden Lake at Wright Patman. He, his wife, and Jerry would be there as well. I remember all the old timers from my youth sitting around the campfire talking and sharing stories. He and his wife were very kind people. Those were many years ago now and all of those people are gone now. I still have those memories to cherish. It was a few short years ago my parents passed away, and the Biddys went to their funerals/ visitations. Now they are both gone too. Peace and God be with the family.

  5. Ruth Ann, so sad to hear about your dads passing, I still remember coming over to your house all those times when we were in school! I know you will miss him as you do your mom, I certainly get homesick for my family, often! Love, Mareida

  6. I enjoyed our long talks that we had whenever I worked at the Springs. You were always such a joy to be around. Every time I went on break I would come sit in your room and we would talk about everything under the sun. Sometimes you would come find me and tell everyone this is my great granddaughter. I would smile so big. You truly did excite my heart. We will miss you dearly. Love you always Papaw!
