Iva Jo Young

Iva Jo Knight Young passed away peacefully on Monday, June 8, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on October 15, 1930, in Gilmer, Texas, to Lloyd and Hazel Vest Knight. Iva Jo was a hardworking and dedicated businesswoman who owned and operated Jo’s Highway 80 Grill for many years. She was also a proud member of the Knights of Pythias. Above all, she cherished her family and enjoyed the many blessings of watching it grow through the generations.

She is survived by her daughters, Robbie Jo Neal and Kathy Sue Davis and husband Jessie Davis; two grandsons, Daniel Scott Carter and David Neil Carter; one granddaughter, Robin Boyd; seven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Lucille Preuniger and Diane McGrade; one sister-in-law, Wanda Knight; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Hazel Vest Knight; her husband, Joe Edward Young; two brothers; and three sisters.
