He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Christine Herrick, brother, Robert Herrick, sister, Sharon Leonard, and nephew, Darren Halstead (Dryer).
James is survived by his wife, Maranda Herrick, sister, Mary Jean (Jim) Bridges, daughter, Sara Harvel, and his grandchildren, Hannah Harvel and Hailey Harvel.

Jim was the sweetest man. He was so intelligent, kind, and deeply loved nature. He also loved his wife, Maranda, who cared for him so graciously and faithfully. While our hearts are broken in his passing, we find comfort in knowing he is no longer in pain. His body is healed, and he is now resting in the presence of his Heavenly Father. Until we meet again, he will be deeply missed and forever loved.
My heart is saddened to hear of Jim’s passing. So many good memories of our times together. We worked together in California and had some great conversations. Jim was liked by many and was so full of life. He will always have a special place in my heart. Thank you Maranda for being in his life to love and care for him. I am truly sorry for your loss. Prayers for you and his extended family.🙏💕
