James Minor Trice was born March 27, 1946 and passed away April 3, 2021 at an area Veteran’s Hospital.  James was a Vietnam veteran who proudly served in the United States Navy. He worked as an electrician and retired from Lone Star Steel. He was a member of County Line Baptist Church.  
 
James was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Norma Joyce Trice; father, Minor Trice; his mother, Jean Boethel and her husband, E.C. Boethel.
He is survived by two sons, James E. Trice and wife Melissa, Jody Trice and wife Amy; four grandchildren, William Trice, Benjamin Trice, Garrett Trice, and Kaylee Trice; six siblings, Sonny Trice and wife Linda, Louise Duncan and husband Jerry, Buddy Floyd and wife Molly, Ray Floyd and wife Patty, Nancy Lynn, Johnny Floyd and wife Lynn; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
 
Services for Mr. Trice will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 10, 2021 at County Line Cemetery with Bro. Doye Wilbanks officiating. There will be a time of visitation from 6:00 until 8:00 Friday evening at the funeral home.

  3. I told James I'd be his friend always about 25 years ago & we certainly stayed the course ! He became my closest compadre and travel matey ever. He was always a welcome sight at my home and at stores where we'd find each other. He so often was a help to me physically, morally, and always lifted m y spirits. He will always be missed here ! But I'm happy that he & Joyce can be together once again. You will all stay in my prayers !

  4. I was sadden to hear of his home going . I met he and his wife at a church service in 11/2008. They were very kind to me.
