Memorial services for James A Middleton, 56, of Avinger, will be held at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, February 9, at Alley Creek Park Pavilion on Lake of the Pines. Mr. Middleton died January 28 in California. He was born June 17, 1951 in Vivian, LA. He lived and worked in Lake Charles, LA for over 25 years with Conoco Oil. He was an active member of AARP and a "Past Master" of the Mansfield Masonic Lodge. He is survived by three daughters Kendra Michelle LeJune (Matt) of Springfield, MO, Felicia Bretz (Bill Long) of Miles, TX and Jamie Nichols (Jim) of California City, CA; his mother Irene Owens of Minden, LA: two brothers David Middleton of Avinger, TX and Paul Middleton of Arizona; six grandchildren Matthew Carter, Hannah Bourque, Marrisa Cook, Stephanie Bretz, Ian Nichols and Daniel Nichols. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make donations either to The American Heart Association, The Diabetes Association or The Masonic Home and School of Texas 3600 Witchita St. Ft Worth, TX 76119. Family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday, February 8 from 5:00-7:00 P.M.

  9. it is now almost 2 since you have gone home but still i find myself wanting to call you just to chat and sometimes just for advice like always with out you i dont think i would have turned out to be the person and the man i am today i think about you everyday i find my srlf telling my friends stories and jokes that you told me. well i love you and miss you greatly. your grandson
