James Todd Green, affectionately known as “Todd,” was born on December 10, 1973, in Linden, Texas, to J.H. and Sharon Green. He passed away peacefully at his home in Linden on September 20, 2024.

Todd was a lifelong resident of Linden and graduated from Linden Kildare High School. He was known for his kind, giving nature and was always ready to lend a hand to those in need. Todd had a deep love for football, and Friday nights were often spent cheering on his favorite team.  He especially loved his Texas A&M Aggies—loyal to them even during tough seasons. He was also an avid hunter, finding joy in the outdoors.  He worked for TXDOT in Jefferson, Texas, for an impressive 24 years, earning the respect and admiration of his colleagues. He was a devoted Christian and a proud member of Pinecrest Baptist Church, where his faith was a cornerstone of his life.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Bo and Ruth Green and Loyd and Christine Fitts, as well as his beloved aunt, Jane Fitts.

Todd leaves behind to cherish his memory: his parents, J.H. and Sharon Green of Linden; his sister, Christy Mayfield (Danny) of Atlanta, Texas; his nephews, Dalton Fortune and Tristan Mayfield; niece, Celeste Harte (Degan); his uncles, Cecil Fitts, Manvel Green (Charlotte), and Ronnie Green (Marvilyn); and his cousins, Scott Green (Gina), Brandon Green (Terri), Kevin Green (Jamie), Jim Green (Andi), and Gwen Henrickson (Clay), along with many other friends and loved ones who will miss him dearly.
