Graveside services for Jerry McLeary, 70, of Jefferson will be 10:00 A.M., Saturday, October 1, at Trinity Cemetery near Jefferson with Rev. Allison Byerly officiating, under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home, Inc. Mr. McLeary was born August 31, 1941 in Cass County, Texas and passed away Tuesday, September 27 at a Texarkana hospital. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years Iva Belcher McLeary; one daughter and son-in-law Teresa and Chuck Jackson of Jefferson; son Jerry McLeary, Jr. of Longview; three grandchildren Hailey Goza, of Longview, Kailon and Karley Jackson, of Jefferson; and one brother Vance Eugene Stiles of Coal Spring, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents Claude and Pansy McLeary; and brother George McLeary. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to First United Methodist Church of Jefferson. Mr. McLeary will lie in state from noon to 4:30 P.M., Friday, September 30 at the funeral home.

  1. What I can say about Jerry, it is all good and such funny wonderful memories. The man that smiled all the time even when we knew that he didn't want to. He knew more jokes, than you could put in a book. Iva Lee you are a wonderful wife and your children, grandchildren are also loving caring people. With you guys Jerrys days have been wonderful and a lot less painfull. Our love, prayers are with each of you.

  2. My condolences at the passing of Mr. McLeary. I did not know him personally but I have heard Miss Pansy speak of him often. I am a member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Marshall, Texas.
