  2. Oh, how our hearts are broken. Our love is with you as well as our thoughts and prayers. May God wrap you in His arms and hide you under His wings, comfort you and give you peace.

    • Candle 2Our hearts are shattered, he was such a wonderful man. He was a joy to work with and had an infectious smile. I’m blessed to have known him and grateful to have hugged him one last time just a few weeks ago.
Karen, my thoughts and prayers are with you, Lindsey, and Adley now and for the days to come.

    • Karen, I am saddened by your loss.
I met Jim about a year ago. At that first meeting I didn’t know if I would like him. That opinion changed over the next twelve months. I saw him again about a week ago in Tyler. We had a great visit. Today I feel honored to have known him. May God bless you and First Christian of Mount Pleasant.

  3. Karen, my prayers are with you and your family. Jim was a kind and gracious man and I am so grateful for the chance to get to know you both these past couple years.

  4. I met him at a friend’s funeral service. He was a kind man and you could see the love of the Father in him. We are so sorry for your loss. May God comfort you during this difficult time.

    • Candle 2My heart goes out to you and your family Karen. He was a wonderful man. As Christians, may you draw great comfort in knowing that this earthly separation is only temporary.

  5. Candle 5Prayers and hugs are being sent to you today Karen, Lindsey and the rest of Jim’s family. I know you will miss him. A lo of folks will miss him including us.

  6. Candle 7We met Jim on Facebook live streaming the Church Service during shut downs. At that time we lived in Dallas TX. We moved out in the country and suddenly realized his church was near us now. He welcomed us with open arms. Jim was more than our pastor, he was our friend, confidant and mentor. I will miss his hugs and smile. A true man of faith.

  7. Candle 2I did not know Rev. Jim personally, which is my loss. Reading through his obituary, I felt his presence with me, I don’t know why. I can tell Jim was a very spiritual person, a man of God, who loved God and loved God’s people and served with dignity and honor. I extend my heartfelt condolences to his family, congregation, and loved ones. May our gracious God give you peace in knowing that you will be reunited with Jim one day. Blessings and peace of Christ to you. – Rev. Linda McWhorter, Killeen, Texas

  8. Candle 3So sorry for the loss of this dedicated man of God. My prayers and condolences are being lifted for you all.

  9. I had the pleasure of knowing Jim most of my life. He and my brother Buzz were lifelong friends and we all grew up in Oak Cliff in Dallas. Jim just conducted memorial service for my brother on January 20th. I think Buzz’s passing was as hard on Jim. As it was for those of us related by blood. I know my brother was happy to greet him in heaven. They’re probably fishing with Jesus in some heavenly lake right now!

  10. Candle 5Karen unable to make the service, but sending you love and prayers on this tough day! He was definitely a man of great conviction and faith. He will be missed for his service at churches and in the area !! Gods strength be with you!

  11. Candle 2I have known Jim for several years. I served with him several years on the Committee on the Ministry. I found him to be a faithful servant and friend. I shall miss him dearly at future meetings.

  12. I am really sorry you have lost your husband. He was doing a wonderful job with the NEA, it was my pleasure to work with him on the last two assemblies.
I first met Jim years ago at Bethel Christian Church when he was the minister there.
I pray that you can find some peace in the coming weeks and months.
