Graveside services for Jimmy Glenn Morris will be at 2 P.M. Sunday Nov. 1 at Hughes Springs Cemetery with the Rev. Bob Money officiating. Burial will be under direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home, Inc. of Hughes Springs. Mr. Morris will lie in repose Saturday afternoon, and the family will receive friends 3-5 P.M. at the funeral home. Mr. Morris died Oct. 29 at a Gilmer hospital. He was born March 4, 1949 in Hughes Springs. He was a Baptist, and began preaching at 16. He worked at Lone Star Steel for 12 years, and was an interim pastor at Siloam Springs Ark. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and was a Navy veteran. He is survived by his wife Jan of Gilmer; six daughters and five sons-in-law Kristie and Tray Copeland of Tyler; Krystal Bridwell and Chris of Hughes Springs; Angie and Blu Lowery of Linden; Amber and Juan Cruz of Hughes Springs, Ellen and Rick Elledge of Gilmer and Amy Knight of Longview; three sons and a daughter-in-law Jonathan Morris of Mount Pleasant; Taylor Knight of Gilmer and Richard and Brandy Knight of Liberty City; his mother Ruby Morris of Hughes Springs; one brother and sister-in-law Bobby and Deborah Morris of Longview; one sister Linda Vanover of Hughes Springs; 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Mr. Morris was preceded in death by his father B.F. Bodie Morris. Condolences may be left at www.reeder-davis.com.
