Services for Joe Black, 70, of Ore City will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, October 15, 2016 at Ore City Church of Christ. Burial will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Ore City. Mr. Black will lie in state from 12:00 until 8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Mr. Black was born September 2, 1946 in Marion County and passed away October 7, 2016 at William Clements Jr. UT Southwestern, Dallas, TX.

Joe Black attended Macedonia School.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother Will Henry Black and Martha P. Black; a sister Alma R. Chalmers and brother Paul Henry Black.

He leaves his passing a loving and beautiful wife, Veronica Towns Black, nine children, Christopher Black (Candance) of Houston, Tx., Toni Black (Ervin) of Glenn Heights, TX.; Tiffany Black Hill of Plano, Texas; Qualisha Adjei, Tiffany McKinney, Kedrick Richardson and Anthony Witcher all of Dallas, Tx. and Taylor Black of Diana, Tx. God-son Steve Grinell of Waco, Tx.; 8 grandchildren, 4 sisters, Emma McCain and Nancy Stevens (Leroy) of Diana, Tx,, Bennie Richmond, Carrie Black; 1 brother, Willie Earl Black all of Dallas, Tx; a special cousin, Robert Earl Black of Upland, California and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many other relatives and friends.
