Funeral services for Joe Grady Russell, 82, of Hughes Springs, will be 10:00 AM, Thursday, August 7, 2008 at Missionary Baptist Church in Hughes Springs with Rev. Larry Neeley officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, August 6 from 6 to 8 PM. Burial will be at Hughes Springs Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home, Inc. Mr. Russell was a member of Hughes Springs Missionary Baptist Church and Hughes Springs Masonic Lodge. He was a WW II veteran and a retired ironworker. Mr. Russell was born July 12, 1926 in Hughes Springs and died August 5, 2008. Survivors include his wife of 54 years Doris Stuckey Russell; son and daughter-in-law Steven and Carole Walker Russell of Austin, TX; daughter and son-in-law Julie and John Smith of Lakeland, FL; granddaughter Julie Erin Smith of Winnsboro, TX; grandson Tanner Smith of Hughes Springs, TX; brother Wayne Russell of Daingerfield, TX; numerous cousins, nephews and nieces.
