Funeral services for Johnny Mack Scarborough, 68, of Lone Star will be 2 P.M. Wednesday, May 9, 2012 at Lone Star Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Iron Bluff Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home, Inc. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Tuesday, may 8, 2012. Mr. Scarborough was born December 21, 1943 and passed away May 6, 2012 at his home. He was an owner and operator in the trucking industry from 1967-1980. He stayed in the trucking industry until he retired in 2009. Mr. Scarborough was a member of Lone Star Baptist Church since 1967. He is preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his loving wife of 48 years, Barbara Scarborough; two daughters Shannon Scarborough Hanes and husband Joel, and Lana Scarborough Whitehead; one son Johnny Mack Scarborough II and wife Anita; seven grandchildren Courtney, Clint, Casey, Patrick, Jessica, Dakota, and Addison; two great grandsons Braden and Jesse; four sisters Sherry Thornton, Reba Carroway, Nelda Cox, and Mary Sue Carter; two brothers Jimmy and Joey Scarborough; eleven nieces and three nephews.

  5. Ms. Barbara & Family,I am very saddened to hear of Mr. Johnny's passing. My deepest sympathies are with you all. I worked @ the same company with Mr.Johnny for 5 years while he and Ms. Barbara had a transporatation terminal with Acme Truck Lines. Pop Tart was very sweet and compassionate person.
