Funeral services for LaKendrick Dondre Stanton, 37, of Irving, formerly of Hughes Springs, will be at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, May 15, 2010 at First Baptist Church in Hughes Springs with the Rev. Maurice McMillion officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Hughes Springs under direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home, Inc. of Hughes Springs. Visitation will be from noon until 8 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Mr. Stanton died May 8, 2010 in a motorcycle accident in Marion County. He was born January 30, 1973 in Dallas. He served in the U.S. Army and was a member of Hughes Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Hughes Springs. He is survived by family and many friends.

Dondre' you will truly be missed. I remember when you were a youg boy,you had the biggest crush on me to be so small. You were never without words when you would see me. You would always hung me around my waist and say to me that I'm your girlfriend and would tell everyone that you were going to marry me. We were so heartbroken to hear of Dondre's accident. He was such a vibrant person who could always make you laugh. Our prayers and love are with you all.

I just recently found out about the loss of one of closest friends. Words can't describe how devastated I am. I offer you my deepest sympathies and prayers. I loved him very much and he will be missed forever.
The image I'll always keep of Dondre' is his smiling face as he walked down the halls of Hughes Springs High School. During the time I was employed as an aide at the school, I remember Dondre' as a very respectful and fun-loving young man, and his death is our loss. My children, Tricia Campbell Harty, Ken Campbell, & Jesse Campbell, and I offer our condolences and prayers for the Stanton family.
Words can't even express how sad I am about the passing of L.A. I have known him for years and just found out last night through an internet search that he was dead. I am overseas and kept in touch with L.A. on a regular basis. He was there for me when my mom and aunt passed. My heart was broken when I read the sad news about his death. My heart and prayers go out to the family. May God bless you all and give you the strength you need at this time.
WE JUST HEARD THE NEWS TODAY THAT OUR "BROTHER" IS GONE. WORDS CAN'T EXPRESS HOW WE FEEL. I HAD JUST LEFT DRE A COUPLE WEEKS B4 HIS PASSING. HE HAD JUST MET HIS GOD DAUGHTERS FOR THE FIRST TIME AND THEY HAD A BLAST. WE HAVE SO MANY MEMORIES OF HIM AND FOOTBALL SEASON WILL NEVER BE THE SAME..DRE YOU WILL ALWAYS BE IN MY HEART. REST PEACEFULLY…FOR THE FAMILY I WILL KEEP YOU LIFTED!!
