LINDEN Graveside services for Larry Loyd Elliott, 64, of Linden, will be 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, November 12, 2008, at Center Grove Cemetery with Bro. Todd Elliott officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, November 11, 2008 from 6 to 8 PM at Reeder-Davis-Schindler Funeral Home in Linden. Mr. Elliott was born April 11, 1944 in Naples, Texas, to Loyd Lee Elliott and Estelle Sis Smith and he passed away Sunday, November 9, 2008, at his home in Linden. He was a retired shift manager for Shell Oil Company and a member of Center Grove Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Margie Elliott of Linden; two sons and daughters-in-law, Todd and Lori Elliott of Texarkana and Tracy and Lisa Elliott of Atlanta; one daughter, Tonya Mitchell of Linden; a sister and brother-in-law, Sandra and Jackie Heard of Naples; eight grandchildren, Lyndi Lockhart, Matthew Elliott, Kristen Elliott, Lane Elliott, Jared Elliott, Erin Mitchell, TeAnn Elliott, and Kayla Mitchell; two great-grandchildren, Amoree Lockhart and Malaki Lockhart. Also surviving, are several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Mrytle and Doug Samples of Pittsburg, Mildred Surratt of Linden, Ann and Emmett Wilbanks of Commerce, and ONeal and Mozelle Wilbanks of Linden; plus numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

So thankful that this family is in our life., The trip down a few weeks ago was so great. For him to look at me while laying in the bed and calling me by name made me so happy. We just thank God each day for the time we had with him. Todd, tonya, and Tracy just be thankful you had a daddy like him and think of the great memories. Thought of Larry will keep smiles on your face. Marggee keep the memorys a live and lean of God and family and friend at this time.   9. Ms. Margie, Todd and I want you to know how truly honored we are to have had the pleasure of becoming friends with you and Larry. We sure did love to hear Larry sing! Each time he'd walk into the church, well, it would give us hope that God still answers prayers. Mr. Larry may not have been healed here on Earth, but in Heaven he is with our Dad, brother and our loved ones. I can see he and our Dad walking the streets of gold and Dad telling Larry, "Hey man, sing me a song one more time." I hope that he knew how many people truly loved him and how many lives he touched while here. Mr.Larry will truly be missed. We are praying that God wraps you and the family in His loving arms and brings you comfort as only He can give. Ms. Margie, we are so sorry for all of your heart-ache and pain that you've gone through the last few months. Just remember, God will NEVER put more on us than what we can bear.   10. We will always cherish the wonderful memories we have of Uncle Larry and all the times we have sat and listened to his wonderful music. Uncle Larry will always hold a special place in our hearts. He truly was a blessing to everyone who knew him. We loved him so much and are so sad to lose him, but rejoice in knowing he is with our heavenly father and is at peace now and will suffer no more. Your all in our thoughts and prayers and may god give you peace and comfort during this very sad time.
