Laura Patton

May 22, 1930 ~ January 9, 2006
To all my loved ones, my family, my friends. The road I have traveled has come to an end. I started on this journey one day, the Lord was with me every step of the way. Some days I would get tired and so very weak, but I thank the Lord for taking care of me. I fought a good fight, I kept the faith, I am ready to enter the pearly white gates. As I come to the end of the road, God placed on my shoulders a beautiful white robe. I begin to smile and look around. He placed on my head a golden crown. To all my loved ones, everything is alright. My name is written in the Lamb?s Book of Life. Laura Williams Patton was born to O.W. and Roise Williams, May 22, 1930.. At an early age, she joined Cedar Grove United Methodist Church. She was a member of Chapter Eastern Star. She attended Macedonia School of Jefferson and went to Hurd?s Beauty School in Marshall. She worked as a Beauty Operator until her health failed. In 1951, she united in marriage to Walter Patton; to this union four children were born; her husband, two brothers, Earnest and Richard Williams and recently her two loving grandchildren, Destiny Graham and Da?Marcus King all preceded her in death. She leaves to cherish her loving memories two daughters, Clara Patton Tucker and Dorothy (Johnny) Rockwell both of Ore City; one sister, Hester Stoker of Dallas; four grandchildren, four great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Sometime we wonder why? But remember God makes no mistake. May God continue to bless each one of you.
