Funeral services for Ms. Lellione “Lola” Jonas, age 86, of Daingerfield, Texas will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 20, 2024, in the chapel of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Hughes Springs. There will be a time of visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m. Friday and lasting until service time.
Ms. Jonas passed away on Monday, December 16, 2024, in Daingerfield. She was born on August 8, 1938, in Cason, Texas, to Aubrey and Ruby Phillips.
Lola lived a full and joyful life, filled with laughter, love, and a deep connection to family and friends. She was an avid fisher and proudly held the record for catching a 106 pound catfish at Lake Tawakoni. Her creativity was evident in her love for ceramics, and she once operated her own ceramic shop, sharing her talent and passion with others. Lellione’s laughter, kindness, and strength brought warmth to everyone who knew her. Above all, she was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ed Jonas; her parents, Aubrey and Ruby Phillips; her sons, Tony Young and Michael Young; and her siblings: Billy Phillips, Kenny Phillips, Donald Phillips, Carol Phillips, and Gerald Phillips.
Lola leaves behind her devoted children: sons, Tra Young, Curtis Young and wife June; daughters, Sandy Sanders and husband Johnny, Susie Hall and husband Bruce, and Angie Penny. She is also survived by several beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren, her sister, Lola Johnson, brothers, Robert Phillips and Jimmy Phillips; as well as numerous extended family members and friends.

You were a beautiful darling woman. Allayed loved talking to you and the times Tra and I spent at the lake house. I love you big. Miss you more.
