Leona E. Schindler, 94, of Wilton, Wisconson died April 9, 2007 at Heritage Manor in Elroy. She was born August 12, 1912 in the Township of Wellington to Rudolph and Frances Keen. She married Martin J. Schindler Sr. April 17, 1932 and they were blessed with five sons. She is survived by: three sons and two daughters-in-law Martin John Jr. and Janice Schindler of Kendall; Lyle and Betsy Schindler of Hughes Springs, TX and David Schindler of Costa Mesa, CA; one brother Lyle Keen of Wilton; 13 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and nine great-great grandchildren. Her husband, her parents and two sons Norman and Thomas preceded her in death. Mrs. Schindler and her husband farmed in Black Valley before moving to Wilton in 1946. She is a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Wilton. Funeral services will be held at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Wilton on Saturday, April 14, 2007 at 11 a.m. Pastor Ryan Fletcher will officiate. Interment will be in St. Paul's Lutheran Church Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the Smith-Nelson Funeral Home 702 Center Street in Wilton on Friday from 4 until 8:00 P.M. and at the church on Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service. Memorials may be made to the St. Paul's Lutheran Church Building Fund in memory of Leona Schindler.
