Leonard H. Boney, Sr. LINDEN TX Funeral services for Leonard Harold Boney, Sr., 78, of Linden will be 10:30 a.m. Monday. March 19, 2012 in the chapel of Reeder-Davis-Schindler Funeral Home in Linden with Bro. Jackie Stanfield officiating. Interment will be in Linden Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 pm Sunday at the funeral home. Mr. Boney passed away Saturday, March 17, 2012 in Linden. He was born August 8, 1933 in Linden to Lee Harold and Maudie Schuler Boney. He worked many years at Fuller Supply in Linden then opened Leonards Floor Covering from which he retired. Mr. Boney was a faithful member of First Baptist Church in Linden where he taught Sunday School in the youth department and was S.S. Secretary for many years. He served in the Army during the Korean Conflict. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Chester Boney. Survivors include his loving wife of 40 years, Linda; a son and daughter-in-law, Leonard Harold Boney, Jr. and Marilyn Jo; two grandsons, James Harold Boney and Joseph Lee Boney; a sister Sally Hamilton; sister-in-law, Virginia Boney; little sis, Julia Shaddix; many nieces, nephews and other family plus a host of friends.

  2. The first time I remember Mr. Leonard was when he and Dorothy Fitts took children to church at Bethel-Cass then brought them to the Dairy Creme after church. I thought that was so wonderful. I'll miss him on Sunday mornings talking to me out in the hall before church. We was a wonderful, Christian man…you're all in my prayers and thoughts.

  5. I remember Leonard from the skating rink days. He never skated, but always came with Chester and sat in the peanut gallery every Sat. night. I will miss him speaking to me each time I come into the church.

  6. I remember Mr. Leonard from my uncle's store, Fuller Supply. He was the first person who welcomed me back to Linden when I moved in across the street from him. My prayers go out to his family. Nancy Belford
