Funeral services for Linda Jo Penecost Biddy,65, of Hughes Springs, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Reeder-Davis Chapel in Hughes Springs with the Rev. Ralph Hale officiating. On Friday, January 30, 2009, God summoned Linda into his soft arms for the journey to her everlasting home of beauty, peace, and joy. Linda was born to J.W. and Flora Pentecost on March 15, 1943 in Etowah County Alabama She then moved with her family to Texas in 1953. Linda graduated with the class of 1961 in Hughes Springs, Texas. She married the love of her life Harold Biddy on July 10, 1961. They were blessed with three beautiful daughters; but were saddened by the death of their first born child Dana Jean at seven years of age with the diagnosis of Leukemia. Upon completion of Nursing School, Linda worked 30 years as a Charge Nurse. Linda was preceded in death by her Mother and Father, sisters Donna Sue Penecost, Jean Little and brother-in-law J.H. Little. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, daughter DeLana Pierre, son-in-law Pete Pierre, daughter Deresa Biddy and her fiancee Bruce Baggett, one grandson Jackson Blake Pierre of Hughes Springs; two sisters Billie Ruth and Donald Langford of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, Helen and Butch Wilkerson of Daingerfield,Texas. Many loving nieces, great nieces, nephews, and great nephews. The family will receive friends between 6 and 8 p.m. Tuesday.

  7. my love goes out to helen, harold and all of lindas family. linda has been a life-long friend. linda was one of hokes bluff high schools first majorettes. it was linda, charlotte, sharon, frances and me. that was in the fall of 1959. we had a wonderful time. linda also played the drums. she taught hokes bulff their first drum march. we really had a wonderful time in those years. linda was a great person. love, sterleen
