Funeral services for Faye Pittser, 83, of Hughes Springs will be 2 PM on Saturday, April 10, 2010 at Reeder-Davis Chapel with Rev. Ron Dyess officiating. Burial will be in Hughes Springs Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home, Inc. Mrs. Pittser was born in the Cornett Community on May 17, 1926 to Andrew and Mary Carter Cook and died on Tuesday, April 6, 2010. Mrs. Pittser was a member of Calvary Baptist Church of Hughes Springs, Hughes Springs Auxiliary and Eastern Star. Survivors include one daughter Sherry Ann McClellan of Arlington, OR; one brother and sister-in-law MB Cotton and Jerry Cook of Hughes Springs; two sisters and one brother-in-law Mildred and TR Ogden and Ruby Nell Morris all of Hughes Springs; three grandchildren Sherisha McClellan of Ft. Worth, Lance McClellan of Pasadena, TX and Stephanie McClellan of Houston; two great grandchildren Alexis Orms of Houston, Julia Rambin of Ft. Worth and Lindsey McClellan of Arlington; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands Dan Pittser, Jesse Gorman; four brothers JW Cook, Doris Cook, Raymond Curly Cook and CJ Cook; one sister Leona Seagroves. Mrs. Pittser will lie in state on Friday, April 9 afternoon and the family will receive friends from 6-8 PM at the funeral home in Hughes Springs.

Faye was a beautiful, kind lady full of grace. I can remember her best for how comforting she was to me in a time of family sorrow. To Sherry and all of her loved ones, please accept my deepest condolence. She is with you always and forever. God Bless. Love, Renee
