Lowell Stephens, 56, of Wood River IL, died Jan. 15, 2009. He was born Feb. 28, 1952. He is survived by three brothers Paul, Bill and Steve Stephens and a sister Roxann Wiseman. He was a happy-go-lucky and always doing something for others. He liked to read, loved flowers and wild fruits including persimmons and the study of history.

Lowell was a good friend and a sweetheart of a man. I miss him alot.

Sorry to hear about Lowell. I'm sure I can speak for all of us "Hickerson's". We all shared alot of school memories with Lowell and all of his brothers and his sister and his dad Bill. Those were the days. I haven't seen him in a couple of years but I have thought about those good ole school days often. He will sure be missed.
