Funeral services for Lue Ella Martin Stuart, 92, of Hughes Springs will be 10 AM on Saturday, July 31, 2010 at Reeder-Davis Chapel with Revs. Roy Jones and Richard Davis officiating. Burial will follow at County Line Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home, Inc. Mrs. Stuart was born February 28, 1918 in Cass County to Andy Newsom and Annie Harriet Bean Newsom and she died on Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at a Hughes Springs Nursing Home. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law Ruby and Bobby Lee of Shreveport; two granddaughters and one grandson-in-law Ella Howard of Katy and Ivy and Evert Giroir of Hughes Springs; grandson and granddaughter-in-law Earnest Stuart, Jr. and Lisa of Jefferson; five great grandchildren Megan Moore Horner and her husband Tommy and Gary Moore, Jr. both of Hughes Springs, Andrew Howard, Kelsey Howard both of Katy and Amy Howard of Linden; great-great grandkids Anthony Davis, Jesse Horner and Phoebe Horner of Hughes Springs; one sister Dora Lee Hutchison of Springtown, TX; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers Oren, Elbert and Zeke Newsom, two sisters Cordi Dryer and Lorene Stradley; one great-great grandson Joshua Horner and one son-in-law Earnest Raymond Stuart. Mrs. Stuart will lie in state on Friday, July 30, 2010 and the family will receive friends from 6-8 PM at the funeral home in Hughes Springs. Online condolences can be made to www.reeder-davis.com.

  3. i remember ms martin coming to visit my grandmother-inez stinnett and mother joyce greening, when i was a child,and even remember going to her house and playing with earnest. she was quite a character.i will always remember her with fondness and i extend my condolences to her family.god bless, jill
