LINDEN, TX Graveside services for Mack Calvin Keener, 85, of Linden, will be at 11:00 am, Monday, November 15, 2010 at New Colony Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis-Schindler Funeral home, Inc. in Linden. A visitation will be Sunday afternoon from 4 to 6 pm at the funeral home. Mr. Keener was born December 16, 1924 in Dickens County, Texas, to Mack and Lillie Mae Franks Keener. He passed away Thursday, November 11, 2010 at his home in Linden. He was retired from Red River Army Depot, a member of New Colony Baptist Church and was a WWII Army veteran. He is survived by a brother, Monroe Keener of Kildare; three sisters, Christine Bergt of Atlanta, Lydia McCool of Linden and Frances Harrod of Midlothian; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Norma Jean Keener, four brothers and two sisters.
