Graveside services for Ms. Marian Faye Smith, age 58, of Daingerfield, Texas, will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 23, 2024, at Shady Grove Cemetery in Cason, Texas, under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Hughes Springs. Ms. Smith will lie in state from 1:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Friday at Reeder-Davis Funeral Home, Inc. in Hughes Springs.

Marian Faye Smith was born January 9, 1966, in High Point, North Carolina to the parentage of Samuel Smith and Mattie Smith-Moore.  She worked as Food Service Technician for many years. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church.  Ms. Smith was preceded in death by her parents; and four siblings.

She leaves to cherish her loving memory, one son, Darion Smith; four siblings: Tenia Johnson (Jonnie), Avis Johnson (John), Evelyn Godbolt (Harold), Cathy Sturdivant; aunts: Georgina Smith, Donnie Crawford, Juanita Christian; a host of cousins; nephews and niece: Demetrius and Nina Pettice, Manuel Mims, Jody Godbolt, Steven Neal, T.J. Mims, Calvina Woodard, Jr., De Jon and Denzel Mims.
