Funeral services for Marijon Terry, 77, of Hughes Springs will be at 10 AM on Wednesday, October 7, 2009 at Calvary Baptist Church in Hughes Springs with Rev. Ron Dyess officiating. Burial will be at Hughes Springs Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home, Inc. Mrs. Terry was born on May 24, 1932 in Tyler, TX and died on Sunday, October 4, 2009 at a Longview hospital. Mrs. Terry was the former Owner and Operator of Terry Real Estate and Insurance Co. in Hughes Springs. She was the past President of the Hughes Springs Chamber of Commerce and she was a Charter member of Calvary Baptist Church. Survivors include Byron Terry, Sr. her husband of 59 years; one son and daughter-in-law Byron and Lesa Terry of Hughes Springs; two daughters and sons-in-law Lou Ann and Denny Jones of Nacogdoches, TX and Debbie and Mike Burke of Midland, TX; one sister and brother-in-law Ina and Bob McDonald of Plano, TX; five grandchildren Jennifer and Damon Proctor, Terri and Robert Pease, Dwight Jones and his fianc Kristy Oliver, Russell Burke, Lauren and Thomas Johnston; two great grandchildren John Dennis Pease and Adalee Brooke Johnston; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother James Honeycutt. Mrs. Terry will lie in state on Tuesday, October 6th and the family will receive friends from 6-8 PM at the funeral home in Hughes Springs.   18. I had the great pleasure of knowing Mrs. Terry from the clinic. She was the sweetest lady. She often could tell when I was feeling hurried or stressed with things at work & would give me words of wisdom on how to relax & realize that things weren't so bad. She will really be missed & I am very thankful for having known her.

  29. What a beautiful lady with a beautiful smile. Mrs. Terry was always so very nice and such a kind spirit. We rented from the Terry family back in 1975 and have very fond memories of Mr. and Mrs. Terry. May peace be with you in the passing of your mother. God bless you all.
