Marine Hays LINDEN, TX Funeral services for Cora Marine Hays of Linden, Texas, will be at 2:00 PM, Saturday, January 2, 2010 in the chapel of Reeder-Davis-Schindler Funeral Home in Linden with Bro. Ernest Hodge officiating. Burial will follow in Cave Springs Cemetery. A visitation will be from 12:30 PM to service time, Saturday, at the funeral home. Mrs. Hays passed away December 30, 2009 in Jefferson. She was born April 28, 1916 in Cass County, Texas, to Mancill Milton Hodge and Vada Louella Neese Hodge. She was a homemaker and a member of Cave Springs Baptist church. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Dardy Hays of Colleyville; three daughters and sons-in-law, Lou and Wayne Bailey of Uncertain, Delores and Al Thurston and Teresa and Gary Bradberry all of Tyler; three brothers, Bobby Hodge of Linden, Ernest Hodge of Gladewater, and Tom Hodge of New Boston; three sisters, Edris Madry of Shreveport, Louisiana, Reba Alsip of Irving, and Claudine Ford of Avinger; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; and a host of other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold J. Hays, three brothers a sister, and a great-grandchild.
Delores & Allen,So sorry to hear about the passing of your Mother.Our hearts are always sad when we lose a parent because another chapter in our lives has come to an end. Not knowing her personally, but just hearing about her through the years, she was truly a pioneer lady. Heaven will welcome her with open arms. Love to you both and her extended family.
