Mary Cummings Coleman LindenFuneral services for Mary Cummings Coleman, 91, of Linden will be at 1:30 P.M., Saturday, June 20, 2009 at First Baptist Church in Linden with Bros. Don Phelps and Jackie Stanfield officiating. Burial will be in Eylau Community Cemetery, Texarkana, with Bro. Wallace Edgar officiating. Services are under the direction of Reeder-Davis-Schindler Funeral Home, Inc., in Linden. A visitation will be from 6 to 8 PM Friday, June 19, 2009. Mary was born September 29, 1917 in Texarkana, Texas, to Zack and Lizzie Cummings and she passed away June 16, 2009 in Tyler. She had lived in Linden since 1959, retired from Red River Arsenal and was a member of First Baptist Church in Linden. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Coleman, her parents, five brothers and four sisters. Although she had no children, she called her many nieces, nephews, step-children and step grand children her own. Survivors include six nieces, Barbara Henderson and husband, Ralph, of Tyler, Brenda Jurcak and husband Johnny, of Mesquite, Gail Malone and husband Frankie, of Wolfe City, Vanita Knight of Texarkana, Regina Pierce and husband, Kenneth of Texarkana, and Kay Crowley of Hallsville; two nephews, William Sparks and Rodney Cummings and wife, Nancy, all of Texarkana; many great-nieces and great-nephews; one step-daughter, Dorothy Morton of Mt. Pleasant; two step-daughters-in-law, Margie Coleman of Linden and Alice Wages and husband, Jerry of Atlanta; eight step grandchildren, and many step great-grandchildren and step great-great grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Eylau Cemetery Association, 189 Warren Thomas Rd., Texarkana, TX 75501 or Hospice of East Texas, 4111 University Blvd., Tyler, Tx 75701.

  7. I worked at the clinic in Linden & met Mrs. Coleman when she would come in for her massages. She was a very sweet lady who I enjoyed visiting with when she was there. I'm very sorry for your family's loss. My prayers are with you.
