Melba June John, 86, of Hughes Springs, Texas went to be with her Lord and Savior on April 1, 2021.  Mrs. John was born December 22, 1934 in Big Springs, Texas to Clinton White and Gladys Chaires White.  Melba was a devoted Christian and a member of Veal Switch Baptist Church.  She served in many areas in her church such as holding bible study at her house, Awana's and Samaritan's Purse.  Melba became a world traveler.  She was the best grandmother and she loved her grandchildren more than anything.

She is survived by her loving children, Bob Eggar (Micki), Jack Eggar (Dona), Bill Eggar (Nancy), Tom Eggar (Kathy), Debra Swan (David); fifteen grandchildren; thirty-eight great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren and two sisters, Shirley Calloway and Sharon Payne.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Herchell John; parents, Clinton and Gladys White; three brothers, Bob White, Jack White, JD White; one sister, Ruth Love, and one grandson, Ryan Eggar.

Services will be 3:00 p.m., Monday, April 5, 2021 in the chapel of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home with Dr. Jack Eggar officiating.  Burial to follow in the Woodlawn Memorial Park Cemetery and under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Hughes Springs.

There will be a time of visitation one hour prior to the service.
