Funeral services for Melba Walker, 85, of Diana, Texas will be at 11:00 AM, Saturday, May 21, 2011 at Cedar Grove United Methodist Church, Ore City, Texas with Reverend Mary Tennison officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery ~ Ore City under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home, Inc. of Hughes Springs. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until 5:00 pm on Friday, May 20, 2011 at Reeder-Davis Funeral Home ~ Hughes Springs. Ms. Walker died on Monday, May 16, 2011 in a Longview Hospital. She was born on June 28, 1925 in Ore City, Texas. She is survived by five sons, Samuel Walker, Jr., of Ore City; Kenneth (Lucy) Walker of Longview; Melvin Walker; Raymond Walker and Darryl Walker all of Ore City; one daughter, Felicia Walker Williams (Clarence); two brothers, Hosea and Thelman McCain; 18 grandchildren, Shemetric, Shannon, Samteshia, Kanisha, Adrian, Tonishea, Chevon, Stephanie, Shana, Jeremy, Kendall, Keitrick, Kelby, Patrick, Roderick, Jerrick, Ian and Clarence III; 18 great-grandchildren and a host of neices, nephews, other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Walker; daughter, Patricia Walker McCoy; brothers, Elvin, Willie, George and LeEarnest McCain; sisters, Arthena and Precious McCain.
