Services  for Ruby Merle Putman, 78, of Atlanta, will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at Reeder-Davis Funeral Home Chapel in Hughes Springs. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Hughes Springs.  There will be a time of visitation from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home.

Mrs. Putman was born March 18, 1939 and passed away September 24, 2017. She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Pruidy Green; husband, K.A. Putman; and sister, Judy McKinney.

She is survived by her son, Lester Earl Roach and wife Heather; sister, Ann Green; brother, Jerry Green; nieces, Denise Doughten and husband, John, and Sonja Green; nephew, Phil Green; great nephews, Corey Doughten and wife, Hannah, and Dusty Heard.

Pallbearers will be Derous Byers, Brian Clark, Rodney Harrist, Shane Miller, Gray Davis, and Neal McCreery.

  5. Merle was such a wonderful, loving, and funny person. She always made me smile whenever I saw her. I just found out and I am so sorry I didn’t know till now.
