  1. My condolences on the loss of your wife and mom.The memories will help heal the hurt but the hole in your heart will be there always. One of my favorite verses is Job 29:3 – "By His light I walked thru darkness." It has helped me walk thru the darkness more than once.

  2. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. I have wonderful memories with Mama Merle..I will never forget that sweet smile…Marsha know that I am thinking of you during this sad time and praying for your comfort..

  3. Dear Les and Family -I was so sorry to hear of Mrs. Slaughter's death. She was a wonderful woman and blessed the lives of all who knew her. All of you are in my thoughts and prayers.

  4. Tony,Gary,Les,and Marsha…I know how much you all will miss your mom. Mrs. Slaughter always had a smile on her face, and made one of the best bologna "samwiches" ever back in the 1960's and early 70's when Les and I were mowing yards. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

  5. We are so sorry to hear about your loss. Your mom was a great lady. Marsha- I remember all the good food she used to send with you back to college at TJC… I know all of you will miss her terribly.

  6. "Mawmaw" was one of the sweetest, most loving people I have ever met. She welcomed me into her family and her home with open arms, and I am blessed to have known her.

  7. Thinking of all of you as we say goodby to Merle, a wonderful loving friend who always had a smile and kind word for all of us.
