Michael Bubba Gonzales, 41, of Hughes Springs, will be on Tuesday, November 11 at 10:00 A.M. at Reeder-Davis Chapel in Hughes Springs. Burial will be at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Hughes Springs with Rev. Antwan Falls and Bishop R. C. Falls officiating. Mr. Gonzales was born in Texas City, TX on September 9, 1967 to Thomas and Janie Gonzales, Jr. and died on Thursday, November 6, 2008 in a Tyler hospital. Survivors include his wife of 23 years, Peggy; three daughters Brittany Gonzales of Nacogdoches, Chelsea Gonzales and her fianc Ethen Evans and Destiny Gonzales both of Hughes Springs; mother and step-father Janie and Jerry Brock of Linden; step-mother Millie Gonzales of Linden; mother-in-law and father-in-law Tom and Bette Mitchell of Hughes Springs; three brothers and two sisters-in-law Tommy Moose and Chrystal Gonzales of Hughes Springs, Todd and Prissy Gonzales of Linden and Jerry Lee Brock of Atlanta; three sisters and brothers-in-law Charlotte and William Johnson of Linden, Jeniece and Shane Davidson of Linden and Jolene and David Kent of Mayflower, AR; grandmother Mary Grammy Shaw of Kittaning, PA.; grandmothers-in-law Peggy Hamilton of Payson, AZ, Ruby Atkins of Dana, NC; numerous nieces, nephews aunts, uncles and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father Thomas R. Gonzales, Jr. of Linden; grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Sam Corbett of Linden and Valita Fischer of Marble Falls and grandfather Thomas Gonzales, Sr. Mr. Gonzales will lie in state on Monday, November 10 at the funeral home in Hughes Springs and the family will receive friends from 6-8 PM.

Bubbles, your with your Pop now. You no longer have to hurt and miss him. We wanted you to be at peace again about Dad, but we didn't want it this way. Out of all of us, I guess you were the one that God knew truly needed his "Pop" the most. At night, when I awake, I can see you both walking in Heaven, and the smiles on your faces, well, it's unexplainable! What a sweet, beautiful and loving brother you were to all of us. I hope you knew how special you were to all of us. Your love and life will continue to live on in Peg, your girls, parents, brothers and sisters. With each of us, you left an ever-lasting love. You touched so many lives during your short life with us and you didn't even realize it. How I shall miss your long arms wrapping me in love and comfort as only you can do. At some of our lowest times, you could walk right up to me, and hug me to tight. Your hug spoke volumes. I don't know how I'll make it through another birthday without your phone call to me. The good part of it is, we'll always share the same birthday, only, now your in Heaven and your not aging and in the meantime, your laughing at me because I'm getting older and more grey. Sweet Bubbles, looks as if you get the last laugh after all. I wish I would have told you more often how much we loved you. I don't know how our family will ever heal and go on with all of our losses. It's really scarry to think that we'll all just drift apart and everyone's love will be in vain. I pray that we can all come together closer than ever. Till we meet again, rejoice with all our family and loved ones. Tell Sister how you told the girls, "Humm, I just MIGHT be yo Daddy!" (LoL) She'll get a HUGE kick outta that one. Send us more Beautiful Bubba's Butterfly's. Until we're all together in Heaven…………….

Where to start… After 7 years, it still hurts SO BAD that your not here. I still talk about how life would be very different if you were here to help guide me. There are so many things that I want to show you, talk to you about, people for you to meet, triumphs to share with you, and the list goes on to no end. Its just hard. I knew it would be hard. I just didnt expect it to be this hard for this long. As stubborn as it is for me to want you here instead of that wonderful place you are, I do wish you could still be here. I love you so much!
