  1. I will never forget Mike and the years that I was in contact with your family. My deepest condolences to Brenda and the children. God Bless.

  2. Ms. Brenda and children; What a shock! We've just found out about Mike from Memaw Joyce. Todd's brother (Mike Gonzales) had a motorcycle wreck on Wednesday and we buried him today. If Todd and I would have known about Mike's passing we would have contacted you and Ms. Helen sooner. Our hearts, love, and prayer go out to each of you through this tragic time. You both have been such a blessing to us. We're so grateful to have had those special times with you guys at all the singings. I can still hear Mike say, "There goes purty!" when he was speaking of you, his beautiful wife.*smiles* Heaven is rejoicing and all the angels are singing. They've not only welcomed your loved ones this year, but ours as well. We love you Ms. Brenda and we're sending you all our love. May God wrap each of you in His loving arms for now and always.

  10. I had the good fortune of having Mike as a teacher and coach when I was in middle school in Commerce,Tx.Not only did he coach me,he also coached my oldest son at Harts Bluff ISD.As many do when we get older we look back on our lives and their are certain people that stand out,Coach Salter is one of them for me.He made a positive impact on not only my life but my entire class. His name always comes up in many, many conversations. Weather it be the grinding football workouts, laps around the track or him just sitting with us at lunch and oh yes his paddle with the holes in it he used to keep us in line.He taught us to respect all, work hard and to never give up.He was a friend to us when we needed one,a mentor to guide us and a strict disciplinarion when we deserved it.We all respected him because he cared. For that I will always be thankful.May God give you all strength.Tim RobinsonMt.Pleasant,Tx

  11. Mrs. Salter, and family.I would like to give my sincere condulances in your time of need. Mr. Salter touched many lives including mine, just as you did Mrs. Salter. It was a pleasure knowing both of you and your family in our years at Harts Bluff. As we grow older and have obstacles face us with challenge, we remember the people as you and Mr. Salter for the good deeds you instilled in us at a very young age.We wish you much comfort and we will sure be praying for you all.God BlessShandra (Blalock) WilliamsSherilyn (Blalock) Strawn& Family
