Mildred Bash

LINDEN Mildred Marie Bash, a native of Clark County, MO, passed away in Linden, TX, May 28, 2007 at the age of 94. She was born July 14, 1912 at Kahoka, MO, the daughter of Jacob Henry and Eva Lovina Boley Blum. She married Everett LeRoy Bash on May 21, 1931 at Lancaster, MO. She was preceded in death by him on November 12, 1969. Also, preceding her in death was her sister, Velma Mae Galland, brother-in-law, Charles Henry Galland; one nephew, Hilbert Henry Galland and her parents. She lived 48 years in Kahoka and Ashton, MO, before moving to Keokuk, IA in 1960. She has lived in Linden, TX, with her daughter since 1992. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ in Kahoka, MO, and Keokuk, IA. Mrs. Bash is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Viona Lee and Billy Beene of Linden; and Marcine Leighty of Quincy, IL; eight grandchildren, Thomas Hicks of Shreveport, LA; Gary Hicks of Blanchard, LA; Michael Hicks of Hallsville, TX; Cindy Veillon of Opelousas, LA; Dan Leighty of Denver, CO; Dianne Leighty of Quincy, IL; Jesse Beene of Hartford, CN; and Jennifer Breland of Houston, TX; ten great grandchildren; and six great great grandchildren. Also surviving, is one nephew, Wayne Bash of Kahoka, MO; two nieces, Marlene Burnett of Hiawatha, Ia; and Judith Doty of Ft. Madison IA; cousins, Wayne Blum, of Kahoka, MO; Jim Boley of Kansas City, MO; Delbert Boley and Frances Oliver of Arbella, MO; six great nieces and nephews; ten great great nieces and nephews and many friends. Services will be held in Kahoka, MO on Saturday, June 2, 2007. Arrangements are under the direction of Reeder-Davis-Schindler Funeral Home in Linden and Wilson Funeral Home in Kahoka, MO,
