Milton Anthony Washington, 79, of Linden, TX passed away April 13, 2019 at his home surrounded by his family. Mr. Washington was born December 6, 1939 in Linden, TX to Alvis Washington and Maudie Steed. Milton served his country proudly in the United States Air Force.
He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Stella Washington of Linden, TX; children, Darla and Troy Chitsey of Choctaw, OK, Darren and Deana Washington of Redwater, TX; daughter-in-law, Amy Washington Whatley of Linden, TX; grandchildren, Alex and Taylor Washington of Redwater, TX, Kelsey and John Best of Winona, TX, Rowdy and Codee Washington of Albright, WV, John Tanner Washington of Linden, TX, Bryant Chitsey and Cameron Chitsey of Choctaw, OK; great-grandchildren, Christian, Misty, Sawyer, Anslee, Jackson; sister-in-law, Pat Washington of Atlanta, TX and numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and a host of friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Alvis and Maudie Washington; son, Andy Washington; mother and father-in-law, Samuel and Margaret Corbett; brothers, Delton Washington, Franklin Washington, and sister, Jewel Faye Fort.
Services will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 16, 2019 at the First Baptist Church in Linden with Bro. Jackie Stanfield officiating. Burial to follow in the Linden Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Linden.
There will be a time of visitation from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Monday evening at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the First Baptist Church general fund or the kitchen fund; American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
I am thankful I knew him.
Uncle Milton was truly a good man with a large heart. I was able to learn many things from him. He was giving and loving. You will be missed, but never forgotten. With all my love.

Mr Washington was a good man who had many talents which included craftsman, cook and gardener. I have very fond memories of talking with him and will miss seeing him.
