Funeral services for Ms. Mollie Heard Gary, age 79, of Linden, Texas, will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 1, 2024 in the chapel of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Linden.Β Ms. Gary will lie in state from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Ms. Mollie Heard Gary, born on August 26, 1945, in Bryans Mill, Texas, to the late Landore and Catrine Heard, passed away peacefully on September 27, 2024, in Texarkana, Texas, at the age of 79.
At an early age, Mollie joined Springhill Baptist Church in Bryans Mill, where she became a dedicated member of the choir and participated in various church auxiliaries. Her faith and service to the church remained steadfast until her health declined, at which point she became homebound. Mollie also spent many years as a compassionate caregiver, sharing her kindness and nurturing spirit with those in need.
Ms. Mollie, affectionately called “our favorite aunt,” will truly be missed. She leaves to cherish her memory: her niece/daughter, Pamela Jeffery of Dallas; her nephew, Anthony Henderson of Dallas; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and dear friends.
Her family and loved ones will forever treasure the joy she brought into their lives and the love she gave so generously.

Aunt Mollie was caregiver to my parents for many years. We adopted her as a part of our own family.
She was one of a kind and will be missed. My sincere condolences to her other nieces and nephews and all of her many friends.
